HOT4ROBOT Live at MusikFest 8/7/2022 @ 12pm Zinzenplatz
Hot4Robot is thrilled to be on the bill for this year’s MusikFest in Bethlehem, PA. We will be performing on Sunday, August 7th at Noon over on the Zinzenplatz stage in the North Side. Here’s a PDF map of the North Side area.
“Pure audial bliss” (Yack Magazine). “A brilliant vision” (Underground Music Collective). Alt rock act Hot4Robot is the latest collaboration between celebrated solo artists Alex Radus, a “sullen, sultry crooner” (Philadelphia Inquirer) and “refined songwriter” (WDVR), and Dave Cahill, a “surreal” guitarist and composer of “post-apocalyptic, dystopian landscapes” (Elucidator). Blending a colorful palette of influences (Dire Straits, Radiohead, Bowie, Muse, the Pixies), Hot4Robot creates rich, textured soundscapes across melody and lyric-driven compositions. Hot4Robot’s debut, self-titled concept rock album is a dark, whimsical and at times humorous exploration of mankind’s use of tech to transcend itself, merging thoughtful commentary with energetic and emotive indie rock delivery. Think a musical version of Netflix’s Black Mirror.
“This is a band working well outside of any box we’ve ever heard of, this is experimental in both musicality and content. If this is a testament of what Hot4Robot are bringing to the table, lay out a place for us at the next feast, we’re going to gorge ourselves silly.” – Yack Magazine
Every once in a while someone gets your music. And if you get really, really lucky, that person is a writer for a great music blog like Yack Magazine.
Makin Waves Song of the Week: “Binary World” by Hot4Robot
Thanks to Bob Makin! Please read the full article over at New Jersey Stage.
Delaware Valley alt-rockers Hot4Robot have released the first video from their recently dropped self-titled debut album. The trippy clip for the LP’s second single, “Binary World,” makes its media debut here in Makin Waves at New Jersey Stage.
A multi-layered soundscape with thought-provoking commentary like much of the LP, “Binary World” features a danceable indie-pop take on the new wave of the early ‘80s ala Psychedelic Furs and Thompson Twins. The video features quasi-cyborg versions of Alex and co-founding multi-instrumentalist Dave Cahill performing in a computer-generated, effect-saturated landscape.
“In an increasingly polarized, black and white world, inhabiting the gray area becomes an act of rebellion,” said Hot4Robot co-founding vocalist Alex Radus, an acclaimed solo artist and former member of the duo duende.
Featured on numerous radio programs and 34 Spotify playlists, Hot4Robot soon will announce a variety of online and live appearances. Find out more at hot4robot.com
